Professional Experience
Long service in Municipal and Planning Law and on behalf of a large farm clientele as well as general solicitor's work.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
John has served as a long time Director and the last Chair of the Valley Health Services Association.
He is a long time Trustee of the United Church of St. Paul and St. Stephen in Kentville and is a past President of the Kentville & Area Board of Trade (Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce).
He has served for many years on the Client Reimbursement Committee of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and is a past Governor of the Law Foundation and past member and chair of the Nova Scotia Provincial Health Council. He has recently become a member of the Annapolis Valley District Health Authority. He is also a Governor of Pine Hill Divinity Hall and Chair of the Fundy Mental Health Foundation. He is a past president of the Kings County Barristers' Society.
Activities within the Firm
Firm co-founder along with K. LeRoy Taylor Q.C., deceased, and now Judge J.A. MacLellan in 1965.
Personal Interests
John includes volleyball and politics among his interests. He is now enjoying retirement with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
