Extensive training in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), and Mediation, including courses at Harvard Law School.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Jim has served as Wolfville Town Solicitor since 1990 and Solicitor for the Municipality of the District of Digby since 1999. He is Consultant to Windsor Elms Village for Continuing Care Society in Falmouth. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Elder Law and Wills Subsections of CBA Nova Scotia.
He served as Chair of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission from 1999 to 2004.
He served as Small Claims Court Adjudicator from 1994 to 1999 and as an arbitrator for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan and volunteer arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.
