Professional Experience
George carries on a Mortgage Redemption Practice throughout Nova Scotia for one of the five chartered banks and Canada'a largest independent mortgage financing company. He serves as solicitor for the Town of Annapolis Royal and has served as solicitor for the Municipality of the County of Kings. George has acted as Assistant Crown Prosecutor for the Province of Nova Scotia.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
George has been President of both the Kentville & Area Board of Trade (Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce) and Kings County Barristers' Society and has chaired the Annapolis Valley Residential Tenancies Board. He served on the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Bar Council and Bar Society Committees, including the Real Estate Task Force, Probate Task Force, Foreclosure Precedents Committee and co-chaired the Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations Liaison Committee.
He is a Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Acadia Divinity College and is currently a member of Executive Committee and First Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of Acadia University.
He has been very active within the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches including several years on the Denominational Council and as Convention Parliamentarian. He served as Chair of Valley Pastoral Counselling Services Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Christian Council for Reconciliation: Prison Ministry. He is a member of the Advocacy Committee of the Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce.
