Professional Experience
Prior to joining TMC LAW, Tom practiced as a litigation lawyer with a law firm in downtown Toronto, and for Mac, Mac & Mac in New Glasgow. He has significant experience in insurance law, personal injury, and general civil litigation. His practice has been concentrated in the areas of personal injury, insurance, and administrative law since 2001. He has represented clients in matters before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Nova Scotia Provincial Court, all levels of Ontario Court, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Canada Pension Review Tribunal, Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Municipal Review Board, and various other tribunals and regulatory authorities.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Tom is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Kings County Barristers' Society, Canadian Bar Association - Nova Scotia, and the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has volunteered for the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Bar Admission Skills Course, mentored for the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law Advanced Legal Writing Program, and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee.

Personal Interests
In his spare time Tom enjoys camping, hiking, doing home improvements, and most of all spending time with his wife Michelle and son Joseph.
