Professional Experience
Prior to joining Taylor MacLellan Cochrane, Anita practiced in Kentville with Waterbury Newton for three years. Her practice focused on Family Law and Federal Criminal Prosecutions. Anita has represented clients in Family, Provincial, and Supreme Court. She has a strong commitment to her community and currently sits on the Board of Directors as a Management Labour Negotiator for Chrysalis House, and sits on the Research Ethics Board for Acadia University.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Anita is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Kings County Barristers' Society, Canadian Bar Association - Nova Scotia, and the National Association of Women and the Law. She was a former Law Day Chair for Cumberland County Barristers' Association, currently a Facilitator for Family Court Parent Information Program, and Library Chair for Kings County Barristers' Society.
