Professional Experience

Prior to joining TMC LAW, Anita practiced in Kentville with Waterbury Newton for 3 years. Her practice focused on Family Law and Federal Criminal Prosecutions. Anita has represented clients in Family, Provincial, and Supreme Court. She has a strong commitment to her community and currently sits on the Board of Directors as a Management Labour Negotiator for Chrysalis House, is involved in a specialized Court project for Women's Innovative Justice Initiative, and sits on the Research Ethics Board for Acadia University.

Professional Activities & Affiliations

Anita is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Kings County Barristers' Society, Canadian Bar Association - Nova Scotia, Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Women and the Law. She was a former Law Day Chair for Cumberland County Barristers' Association, currently a Facilitator for Family Court Parent Information Program, and Library Chair for Kings County Barristers' Society.
