Landlord/Tenant Law

The TMC LAW Landlord/Tenant Services Team advise landlords and tenants on their rights and obligations under their lease, and on commercial and shopping centre leases. These services include drafting and reviewing of agreements/offers to lease, leases, assignments, non-disturbance agreements, insurance and indemnity contracts and other documents which affect the relationship between landlords and tenants. TMC LAW also provides advice and representation to clients on the relationship between their lease obligations and other contracts, franchise agreements and financing arrangements, to ensure, as much as possible, consistency among all legal documents affecting their enterprises.

We also provide representation before administrative bodies, Arbitration Boards and Courts (see Administrative Law) for both landlords and tenants involved in disputes over their leases or related documents, as well as provide a broad range of services relating to the enforcement of leases, including: compliance with lease covenants, subleases and assignments, collection of rents and insolvency, receivership and bankruptcy issues (see Financial Services).
