Professional Experience
Andrew Montgomery came to TMC LAW after spending six years practicing with the firm of Metcalf & Company, a boutique admiralty and transportation law firm. Andrew has significant litigation experience in insurance defense, wrongful dismissal, corporate commercial and fisheries law. He has appeared in all levels of court in Nova Scotia, and in the Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
Andrew is a trained mediator and has significant mediation experience including cases involving multiple parties and complex issues.
Prior to the practice of law he worked extensively in government, both in Ontario and Nova Scotia, for a number years as a policy advisor primarily with respect to resource and environmental planning. He has significant experience working with both the fishing and agricultural industries in Nova Scotia.

Member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association, and the Fisheries Law Sub-Committee.
Member and former treasurer of the Eastern Admiralty Law Association.
Currently serving on the legal committee of the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia.
